Bob started flying at the age of 16 as a birthday gift from his parents. A Pilot for Air Net with over 20 years of dedicated service. His love of flying took him to Flight Safety where he worked as an instructor. A veteran of the US Air Force, he served during the Vietnam War. A member of the Professional Pilot Assoc., Flight Watch and "Q.B.'s" of Columbus.

A devoted family man, he is survived by his wife Debra; son Victor Gatto; step-daughter Michelle (Scott) Cox; step-son Shawn (Kim) Smith; grandchildren Derek and Haley Hukle, Shayne and Nicholas Smith; sister Lorraine (John) Naughton; nieces and nephews; mother-in-law Betty Christian; former son-in-law Jeramie Hukle; good friend Greg Laya; many other extended family members and friends.

Preceded in death by parents John and Lydia Gatto; daughter Elaine Gatto.

Family will receive friends 5-8 p.m., Saturday, November 10, 2007 at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna where the Funeral Service will be held 1:00 p.m., Sunday, November 11, 2007. Private cremation arrangements.
